Nell Helen Simon Itzkovitz, 99, of Savannah, Georgia, and widow of David Itzkovitz, died Tuesday evening, August 3, 2021, at Buckingham South.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Jacob Simon and the late Fannie Shifrin Simon. Nell owned and operated her own businesses for many years; first, the Economy Feed and Seed Store, and then Stampeed Western Wear. She enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and mahjong. Nell also played golf and was an avid gardener.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Herman Simon, Dyna Meddin, and Norma Feldman. 

Survivors include her sons, Frank Wagman, David Wagman; grandchildren, Jacob Wagman, Adrian Wagman, Michael Wagman, and Allie Wagman.

The funeral service will be held at 10 o’clock Friday morning, August 6, 2021, at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.

    Sincere condolences to the family. I never drive past the corner of White Bluff and Montgomery Cross Road and not think of Nell. I sold Wrangler jeans to her for several years. Lots of memories of Nell.

    Ms Nell was a amazing woman! I owned a clothing and western store in Statesboro. I bought the balance of her inventory. The best part of the deal was getting to know Ms Nell. She became my friend and I will treasure my friendship with her for ever!!
