Laurene “Laura” Elizabeth McLeod, 39, of Bloomingdale, Georgia and wife of Daniel Robert McLeod, died Saturday morning, August 28, 2021, at Memorial University Medical Center with her family at her side.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of Elizabeth Rose Moore and the late Robert C. Moore. Laura attended South University and Armstrong Atlantic State University. She loved her family. Laura was the ultimate “Mama Bear” when it came to her boys! One of her other passions was cooking for her family, friends, baby showers, weddings, beach trips, everyone knew she would show up with food. Laura also loved the water and it didn’t matter if it was the beach, the lake, or the river – she loved them all. She was a former life guard at the German Country Club, a physical therapist assistant at St. Joseph’s/Candler, worked with J. C. Lewis Ford, the Talking Phone Book, Spectrum Marketing, and was the owner of Above the Best.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel Robert McLeod; two sons, Jacob and Michael; her mother, Elizabeth Rose Moore, and her brother, George Foley.

A Celebration of Life for Laura will be from 6 until 8 o’clock Saturday evening, September 4, 2021, at Lucy Belle Farms – 1159 Wildwood Church Road, Pembroke.

Memorials may be made to Laura’s GoFundMe account.

Daniel wants to know that Laura didn’t die in vain. He will know that once you have gotten your vaccine. #GetYourVaccine
