Gregory Lee Tyler, 63, of Savannah, Georgia, and husband of Bonnie Jean Jones Tyler, passed away Thursday morning, March 31, 2022, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of Jeanette Varnadore Tyler and the late Joseph Anthony Tyler. Greg loved to travel, having visited every state in the continental United States. He was a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. Greg worked for many years at Desposito’s and also worked 40 years as a master plumber. He was a skilled builder, completing many home projects. Greg loved his dogs, and spending time with his friends and family. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his son, John Michael Tyler; brother, Phillip Tyler, and first wife, Robin Tyler.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Jean Jones Tyler; step-daughter, Sarah McNamara, and his mother, Jeanette Varnadore Tyler.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Gamble Funeral Service – 410 Stephenson Avenue.
He was a great man. Always funny and there for the people he cared for. I will cherish the memories I have of him.He will truly be missed. My love, thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear about your loss of Greg we grew up together with him and Phil on Hawthorne St many of fond memories fishing with his Dad at back river running the streets of pine gardens another east sider gone to young sending prayers
Greg was my cousin and always brought laughter to every family gathering we had. He will truly be missed! RIP CUZ!
