DIANE EDLER MANDAP

Diane Edler Mandap, your family will say their final goodbyes on Friday, July 23, 2021. You left your earthly body last year after a long struggle with illness. You were so far away we could not be there. But you had an angel, Eileen. Thanks to her you had someone taking care of you. You left behind so many who loved you. When you last visited in Savannah we laughed, shared stories, compared notes about our pets; just enjoyed being together. You were so sweet, thoughtful, and caring of others, most especially your friends and your parents. The memories of you and love for you remain in the hearts and minds of those who knew you.

You are missed by many.

Committal at Forest Lawn – 315 Greenwich Road – 10:30 A.M., July 23, 2021.

Born 1-4-1955

Remember Diane from SVA days, she was a special person. May she rest in peace, such a tragic loss amid the covid crisis.

  2. Mary Hagman Salter says:

Have not seen you in many years, but I remember our days at SVA. So sorry to hear about the struggles you faced and went through. Holding you in thought and prayers..

  3. Julia Jones Williams says:

We were lab partners in biology during our sophomore year at Saint Vincent’s Academy, Class of 1973. Diane was not the least bit squeamish when we dissected a frog but instead brought humor into what we were doing and that made the assignment tolerable. We became friends for the rest of our time at SVA but as life tends to do, we became busy, moving and working and lost contact after graduation. It was only when social media came of age that we reconnected on Facebook and were able to share memories while catching up with each other. I’m very sorry that Diane suffered a terrible illness that could not be cured, taking her in the prime of life. She will be remembered for living up to her huge smile that caused her face to glow in kindness and for being a friend way back when.
