  13. Mike Mitchler says:

Our friendship was a token of Catholic upbringing, while growing-up through our twenties while I still lived in Sav’h. We just had some time to make some time. Catching up when possible and always sharing the story of family and the speed of life how it gets away from us. I know Rudy was always there to help find a way to connect and use whatever he could; to make things happen. I Love You Friend, I know you see so much now, and how frustrated we will all be while your not there to help. We will forever have your smile, and try to have “that Rudy enthusiasm” wherever possible. Prayer On for all who feel the absence of this lively, humble, genuine soul. Patricia, Chris, Victoria, & Alex have a new bond with all of us who knew Rudy. We should help prepare by any means, a way for them to feel the respect and appreciation of the joy of life that Rudy has always shared. Rest vibrantly & always remembered my friend, your spirit is meant to be shared.
    Mike Mitchler

O Rude-dude. In the 7yrs we’ve been friends and coworkers I had watched you battle with health conditions and defeat them. You were the strongest guy I’ve ever known and I remember having to argue with you to sit down and take a break and having to tell you I was just a stubborn as you are. I hope you know how very much loved you were by as you liked to call us “the troublemint twins” and my kids as well. I have years of memories with you that I will carry with me and hold dear to me forever. There’s not one person who met you that didn’t absolutely love you. You paid attention to your friends even if we didn’t notice we were acting different you knew to come to one of us and give us one of your famous bear hugs. Every time I hear “HEY LADY I’M TALKIN TO YOU” I would look up and smile bc I knew you were talking to me specifically. My designated uncle away from home. Thank you for always making me laugh, keeping me protected and escorted to my car at closing, teaching my kids soccer, and above all always making sure I knew I had a family away from my family. You spread so much joy and laughter to the entire 0170 crew. I remember so many laughs and hugs and I’ll carry with me all these years of memories until we meet again my friend I’ll be missing you.
