  16. Ashley Peeples Oberlin says:

Dearest Maxine – Was so very sorry to hear of Christine’s passing. I have always cherished the memories of our time together and remain grateful to you for sharing your Big Sissy with me. She gave me a proper musical education – Elvis, Tanya, Reba, Loretta, and Dolly; proper sports teams – Alabama and the Cowboys, the inside scoop on Who Shot JR, and the best of Merle Norman. Like Frank I could not possibly forget her yellow Buick and it’s license plate. When my boys were old enough I passed on that key information – and the country music. I won’t ever forget her contagious laugh and the joy she brought to every visit. Am sending you all my love and will keep you both in my heart.
