Anna Elizabeth (Bette) Sulter Lufburrow died on June 4, 2022 at home.  She was the daughter of Bertha Snipes Sulter and Frederick Morgan Sulter and was born in Savannah, GA on July 16, 1925.  Bette married Albert Bullman Lufburrow on May 22, 1948.

Bette was a lifelong Lutheran and a charter member of Messiah Lutheran Church on Skidaway Island.  She attended local schools and graduated from Brenau Women’s College where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Bette volunteered for several organizations and served on many committees during her lifetime.

Bette is survived by her children, Deborah (Debbie) L. Howell (Jim), Stephen Randolph Lufburrow (Sally), and Lou Lufburrow Stewart.  She is also survived by her five grandchildren:  Keith Howell (Elizabeth), Scott Howell, Matthew Lufburrow (Kristen), Mary Elizabeth Lufburrow, and Anna Elizabeth Stewart.  Bette is also survived by three great grandchildren: Alice and Glenn Howell, and Palmer David “Little Cap” Lufburrow.

Private services were held in Greenwich Cemetery on June 4, 2022.
