Thomas 'Tom' Benjamin Andrews III, 77, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away Saturday morning, October 17, 2020, at St. Joseph's Hospital.



Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he was a son of the late Thomas Benjamin Andrews, Jr. and the late Julia Loveless Andrews. Tom was a member of Wilmington Island United Methodist Church. Tom was a retired laboratory salesman for Fisher Scientific. He was a Past President and former 10-year board member for Southside Fire Department, which is now Chatham Emergency Services. Tom was a member of The Exchange Club of Savannah. He enjoyed boating, fishing, watching the Georgia Bulldogs, and playing golf. Tom loved talking to everyone and never met a stranger.



Surviving are his wife, Anne Chestnut Andrews; one daughter, Melanie Brooks and her husband, Terry; one son, Greg Andrews and his wife, Kae; two granddaughters, Lauren Brooks and Elizabeth Brooks; one step-daughter, Lindsay Nesmith and her fianc??e, Shannon Lamp; one step-grandson, Sawyer Lamp; one sister, Lois Hammett and her husband, Jay, and nieces, nephews and cousins.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Cooper Andrews.



The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.



The funeral service will be held at 7 o'clock Wednesday evening, October 21, 2020, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by J. Lynn Daniell. Private interment will be in the Wilmington Island United Methodist Church Gardens.
