IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terrilynn "Terri" L
Fox
October 20, 1958 – March 4, 2026
Celebration of Life
Central Christian Church
Starts at 11:00 am (Eastern time)
Terrilynn “Terri” Fox, 67, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and friends — likely still managing to get the last word in.
Terri was the classic fun-loving, slightly rebellious younger sister. If there was a rule, she probably questioned it. If there was music playing, she was probably dancing. She had a knack for keeping life interesting and family gatherings lively. Her quick wit, playful sass, and fearless personality made her unforgettable — and often the most entertaining person in the room.
She loved deeply and loyally. As a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, she showed up with her whole heart (and usually a little bit of mischief). She absolutely adored the beach and spent as much time there as possible — it was her happy place. The sun, the sand, and the sound of the waves were her therapy. If heaven has a shoreline, we’re confident she’s already claimed her chair.
Terri also poured her competitive spirit into her yard, proudly earning “Yard of the Month.” She may have acted surprised, but anyone who saw the yard knew she had been planning that victory for weeks. Gardening wasn’t just a hobby — it was a point of pride.
She was born on October 20, 1958, at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. She was preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” Fox.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Fox Sapp (the late Carl Sapp); her daughter, Heather Johns (Michael Harwood); her beloved granddaughter, Alexiah Crosby, who brought her endless joy; her sisters, Teresa Barker (Ray) and Tammie Brinkley-Clearo (Joe), who had the lifelong honor of being older than her; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles who will forever cherish her humor, boldness, and big heart.
In true Terri fashion — thinking of others even at the end — she selflessly chose to donate her body to science and education to further research into Amyloidosis, the rare blood plasma disease that ultimately took her life. In lieu of flowers, Terri requested donations be made to Hospice Savannah or to Amyloidosis.org in her memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Central Christian Church, 6810 Skidaway Road, Savannah, Georgia — where stories will be shared, laughter will be heard, and Terri’s larger-than-life spirit will be remembered exactly as she would have wanted
