Taso Petakos

Anastasios (Taso) Petakos , 78 of North Lauderdale, Fl, died on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Broward Health North, his wife Alexandra Petakos preceded him in death on June 6, 2014.



Taso was born on March 4th, 1941, in Papadianika, Greece. His father was Panagiotis Petakos and mother Panagiota Petakos, his siblings are brothers Dimitrios, Sotirios, and sister Zoe. He married Alexandra Gregorakos Petakos, daughter of Mary Gregorakos and Charles Gregorakos of Savannah, Georgia. He owned and operated Mr. Pizza restaurant while he was living in Savannah. Anastasios has three children, Paula Catherine Petakos, Catherine Mary Petakos, and Peter Charles Petakos, and seven grandchildren. Anastasios was a devoted and loving father and grandfather. His children and grandchildren were his life and he lived for them. Anastasios is loved and will be deeply missed by his children and grandchildren every single day.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Friday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue, with the Trisagion service being held at 6 o'clock in the funeral home chapel.



The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church conducted by the Reverend Dr. John A. Caparisos. Interment will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
