Stanley was born in Savannah, GA to parents Max and Dora Rosenberg. After graduating from Savannah High, Stanley enlisted in the Georgia Army National Guard where he served as a medic for 6 years.

After spending time working at Buck Furniture and Alan Barry’s, Stanley worked for nearly 50 years in the jewelry business at Friedman’s Jewelers, Levy Jewelers and F.P. Wortley Jewelers before retiring in 2013.

After retiring, Stanley spent his time as a Volunteer at the Information Desk at Candler Hospital, delivering food to homebound members of the Jewish Community through the Savannah Jewish Federation, aas a board member of the Jewish Educational Alliance and Agudath Achim Synagogue and was a member of the Jewish War Veterans.

Stanley was a valued member of the Elks Lodge of Savannah for over 10 years. While a member, he served many roles as a volunteer including writing grants for many programs as well as training other Elks Lodge members throughout Georgia in how to write grants for their lodges, chairing the annual children’s holiday party, organizing donation efforts for homeless veterans, managed all of the Elks Lodge venue rentals, called BINGO games and was the long serving Lodge Secretary.

Stanley’s hobbies included cheering on the Atlanta Braves, the Georgia Bulldogs and going on cruises with his wife. More than anything, he most loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons and following all of the amazing activities they were involved in and he was so proud of all that they have accomplished.

Stanley is survived by Brenda Rosenberg, his loving wife of 55 years; his son Michael Rosenberg and daughter-in-law Jodi Rosenberg, daughter Rachel Rosenberg, Grandsons Jared and Andrew Rosenberg and his brother Barry Rosenberg and sister-in-law Patty Rosenberg.
