SMSgt Lester 'Les' Lee Warren, United States Air Force (Ret.), 86, of Savannah, Georgia and widower of Mae Blanche Bailey Warren, died Thursday morning, August 23, 2018, at Candler Hospital.
Born in Trimble, Tennessee, he was a son of the late Mr. Shirley Lee Warren and the late Bertha Mae Harper Warren. Les was a member of White Bluff United Methodist Church. He retired after 23 years as a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Les later retired from General Electric as an electronics specialist. He loved his family, golf and basketball.
In addition to his wife of 33 years and his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Al Davis, and two brothers, John Warren and Charles Warren.
Surviving are three daughters, Kathy Davis of Varnville, South Carolina, Carol Fennell and her husband, Ronald, of Hampton, South Carolina, and Sharon Hamby of Varnville, South Carolina; three sons, MSgt Lester Warren, U. S. Air Force (Ret.) and his wife, Patricia, of Fairfax, South Carolina, and Ed Warren and his wife, Margie, and James Warren and his wife, Sharon, all of Savannah, Georgia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dolly Hudson and Helen Goings; three brothers, The Reverend Eugene Warren, Bob Warren and Bill Warren; nieces and nephews; two step-sons, Frank Miller and his wife, Kay, of Bonaire, Georgia, and Pat Miller and his wife, Brenda, of Brooklet, Georgia; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Monday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Josh Duckworth. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
