Robert 'Rob' George Thompson, Sr., 65, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, and husband of Susan Horne Thompson, passed away Tuesday morning, October 18, 2022, at Hospice House of Savannah.
Born in Long Island, New York, he was a son of the late Arthur Edward Thompson and the late Elizabeth Thompson. Rob worked for forty years as a welder for Gulfstream Aerospace. He enjoyed riding and working on his motorcycles, a Moto Guzzi 850 El Dorado and a Kawasaki Vulcan 900.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Susan Horne Thompson; son, Robert Thompson, Jr., his wife Kathryn, and their daughter Charlotte; daughter, Lynn Lowe and her husband Braydon.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
