Robert Jac 'Bob' Horn, 74, passed away February 3, 2015 following a brief illness with pneumonia.
He was born March 22, 1940 in Clearwater, MN??to Jack and Vivian Horn. Robert was a school teacher for 26 years with Waschoe County School District in Reno, NV. He was the head basketball coach for the freshman boys at Reed High School, leading the team to an undefeated record in 1988 and was an assistant coach for the Varsity Team from 1987- 91. He loved to teach and coach basketball, which he continued to do during his retirement in Savannah, GA. Robert was a kind, gentle, and intelligent man as well as an avid reader. Always learning. Always teaching. He loved the Lord, his family, and friends.
He is predeceased by his father and mother and sister, Sherry O\'Neil.
Robert is survived by his son, Wade Robert Horn of Boulder, CO; his close friends, much like family, Glen, Lea, Addison, and Elliot Scarbrough, and Bill and Eleanor Scarbrough.
He will be missed by his church family, extended family members and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon, February 22, 2015, at Calvary Baptist Temple in Savannah. A reception will follow at the church.
