Obituary

Priscilla Carter, 92, of Savannah, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Priscilla was born in Brooklet, Georgia, in Bulloch County, at the home of her aunt. She lived a long and meaningful life centered around her family, whom she loved deeply.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Manning Carter, Jr.; her daughter, Shelley Evans; her son, Chester Carter III; and her sons-in-law, Patrick Evans and David Evans; and her brother Gary Williams.

She is survived by her sister, Trilby Rimes; sister-in-law, Diane Williams; her children, Diane Hall, Carol Evans, and Steve Carter (Jamie); and her beloved grandchildren, Justin Hall (Amy), Lindsey Westendorf (Jake), Stevie Carter-Sheppard (Kyle), and Jordan Carter. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Kobe Hall, Aubrey Hall, Kaylee Hall, Logan Westendorf, and Annalise Carter.

She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, including her special friend, Cindy Lash.

Priscilla spent most of her wonderful life caring for her husband and raising her five children. She and her husband cherished the time they spent together, especially their summers in Stonington, Maine, where they made many lasting memories and friendships.
