Obituary

Peggy June Karacostas Zeigler was born March 4, 1943 in Galveston, Texas to Margaret and Nick Karacostas.  

After living in Jacksonville a brief time, she and her family moved to Savannah, GA. 

Peggy graduated from Jenkins High School and was a cheerleader. It was there that she became a lifelong friend with Beth Page Maner.  Upon graduation, Peggy attended Weslyan College and Armstrong University. 

Peggy's career was Administrative Manager for Dr. Groover in Jacksonville, FL; and Merchandising Manager for Tandy Corporation in Ft. Worth, TX. 

She was President of the Junior Women's Club, New Comers Club and the Gainesville Garden Club while living in Gainesville, FL.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Robert Joseph Zeigler, her son Robert Joseph Zeigler, II (Laura Zeigler); her grandsons, Harrison James Zeigler and Preston Alexander Zeigler; her brother, Dale Laurence Karacostas (Pamela) and her sister, Susan Jane Scarberry (Gary); nephews, Victor and Mark Zeigler, Dale Karacostas, Jr. and Gary Lee Scarberry and nieces, Elizabeth Zeigler Jackson, Merle Zeigler, Meg Karacostas Lego, and Meloney Scarberry Jones. 

She is predeceased by her brother, Louis Karacostas and brothers-in-law, Tom and Victor Zeigler. 

Peggy was a ray of sunshine and a heart filled with love. Her presence lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
