Patricia Elizabeth Bartlett Chandler, 77, passed away at home December 2, 2024. Born in Thomasville, GA, she spent most of her life in Dalton, GA, but eventually moved to Savannah to be near her grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Dalton High School class of 1965. She went on to the University of Georgia where she received her bachelor’s degree and later in life received her master’s degree from Georgia Southern University. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Dalton and then Skidaway Island Baptist when she moved to Savannah.
She began working at Dalton Jr. High School as a substitute teacher, went on to work as the Media Center Aide and finished her career as the Media Specialist at Savannah High School. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, singing in the church choirs, reading, Georgia football, Braves baseball, collecting things she loved, and scouring the beach for seashells.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Catherine Bartlett and her grandson, William Evan Norman II.
She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Norman of Savannah; son, Russ Chandler of Atlanta; grandchildren Elizabeth Norman, Todd Norman Jr, Ashley Norman, and Lindsey Norman; and her siblings, Ron Bartlett (Linda),Susan Harbin (Craig), and Bob Bartlett (Michele) and numerous nieces and nephews.
