Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of Jeannette Andre Carrigan and the late Robert Leonard Carrigan.
Marvin spent much of his life in ??Montgomery County, Maryland, where he was self-employed as a carpenter and tattoo artist. ??He was an avid rock and roll enthusiast, animal lover, history buff, movie fan, gardener, and artist. ??He was a free spirited, gentle soul and will be greatly missed.??
Survivors include his mother, Jeannette Carrigan of Savannah;??sister, Robin Carrigan of New York City; brother, Michael Carrigan of Jacksonville; daughter, Christine Christensen of Ottawa, Illinois; grandsons, Nolan, Garrett, and Liam, and many beloved pets.
Interment will be at Washington National Cemetery in??Suitland, Maryland, on a date to be announced.
