Martha Ann Willis Dearing, 83, passed away peacefully after a short illness surrounded by her loving family on July 28, 2016.



A native of Atlanta, she was born February 2,1933 to Eugene Fletcher Willis, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Walker Willis, who preceded her in death. She attended Druid Hills High School and after graduating went to Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. She transferred to the University of Georgia for her last two years where she graduated in 1954 with a BS in elementary education and was a member of Phi Mu sorority. In 1978 through 1979, she attended the National Center for paralegal training in Atlanta and became certified. She returned to Savannah and worked for Lee and Clark law offices.



A lifelong homemaker, and one who was always involved in community and church projects including being a pink lady at Candler Hospital, she was a member of Saint John\'s Episcopal Church and the Savannah Junior League. She was an avid Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves fan along with golf being a favorite to also follow.

Grammie was also a very devoted mother and grandmother.



She is survived by two daughters, Sara 'Sally' Dearing Lufburrow (Stephen Randolph Lufburrow) of Savannah and Karen Dearing Ferebee (David Bryan Ferebee) of Charlotte; two grandsons, Matthew Dearing Lufburrow of Savannah and Walker Bryan Ferebee (Tattie Grace Ferebee) of Nashville; three granddaughters, Martha Ferebee Habegger (Dr. Luke E. Habegger) of Nashville, Mary Elizabeth Lufburrow of Savannah, Mary Kathryn Ferebee of Charlotte; one brother, Dr. Eugene Fletcher Willis, Jr. of Atlanta and sister-in-law, Marcia Platt Willis of Atlanta; two nieces, Mendy Willis Eskew and Mimi Willis Miller; two nephews, Eugene F. Willis III and David W. Willis, and one great-grandson, Luke Grayson Habegger.



The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, July 30, 2016, at the graveside, Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs.
