Mae Blanche Bailey Warren, 81, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of SMSgt Lester 'Les' Lee Warren, U. S. Air Force (Ret.), died Tuesday morning, March 14, 2017, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Henry Thomas Bailey and the late Mary Blanche Monk Bailey. Mae was a member of White Bluff United Methodist Church. She was a former school teacher and a retired medical transcriptionist. In her younger years Mae enjoyed dancing and crabbing on the river near their home place. She loved spending time with her family, flowers and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Suzie Daiss, and two brothers, Tommy Bailey and Buddy Bailey.
Surviving are her husband of 33 years, SMSgt Lester 'Les' Lee Warren, U. S. Air Force (Ret.), of Savannah, Georgia; two sons, Frank Miller and his wife, Kay, of Bonaire, Georgia, and Pat Miller and his wife, Brenda, of Brooklet, Georgia; three grandchildren, Kristie Sanders and her husband, Steven, Frankie Miller, and Sharol Reid and her husband, Ryan; three great-grandchildren, Dalton Sanders, Frank Elliott Miller VI and R. J. Reid; one sister, Julie B. Lewis and her husband, John, of Savannah, Georgia; six step-children, Kathleen, Lester, Carol, Edward, Sharon and James; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning at the graveside, Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, conducted by The Reverend John A. Haney.
