Obituary

Karen Lee Stallworth Cross went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2026, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.

Karen was born on December 30, 1967, in the former Canal Zone of the Republic of Panama, to Edmund Stone Stallworth, Jr. and Adrienne Clark Stallworth.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Adrienne Clark Stallworth.

Karen is survived by her father, Edmund Stone Stallworth, Jr.; her son, Travis Cross; her daughters, Kalee Cross-Weisbeck (Ava) and Allie Cross Duda (John); her sister, Lynne Hawkins Hibbs (Wayne); her niece, Tabitha Woolwine Dotson (Jonathan); her nephew, Stephen Woolwine; and many extended family members and cherished friends.

Karen loved the Lord, and her faith was the foundation of her life. She loved her family fiercely and was a true mama bear when it came to her three children. She had a servant's heart and was always willing to help others without judgment.

She was incredibly proud of her Zonian heritage and treasured the lifelong friendships she made growing up in Panama. A social butterfly by nature, Karen loved bringing people together, and never met a stranger.

The water was her happy place, and if she had the choice, she was probably wearing sandals—she never cared much for closed-toe shoes.

Karen faced every challenge with remarkable strength and rarely let others know how difficult things truly were. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, strength, and unconditional love that will continue to live on through her family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
