Joseph G. Welch

Joseph Gordon Welch, 84, of Savannah, Georgia and widower of Mary Pearl Wilson Welch, died Sunday morning, May, 5, 2013, at his home and surrounded by his family.



??Born on January, 25, 1929 in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late James E. Welch and the late Dora Bell Scott Welch. He was a shoe salesman at the former Globe Shoe Company for many years. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Welch, and his daughters, Dora Patricia Welch and Mary Jo Waiters.



??Surviving are his daughter, Janet W. Wilson of Springfield, Georgia; his son, Mark A. Welch of Springfield, Georgia; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.



??The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.



??The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by the Reverend Jackie Gordon. Interment will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
