Joseph 'Joe' Charles Smulevitz, 68, of Savannah, Georgia and widower of Helen Mooney Smulevitz, died Thursday evening, March 9, 2017, at the home of his sister.
Born in Germany, he was a son of the late Hilel Smulevitz and the late Frieda Korman Smulevitz. Joe was of the Jewish faith. He was a home service club representative. Joe was an avid gardener and had published many articles about herbs and plants. He also published articles about his late wife, to whom he was a devoted husband.
Surviving are his sister, Pearl G. Smulevitz; an aunt, and many cousins.
The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Sunday at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
Remembrances: A charity of the donor's choice.
