John Louis Berry, 70, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Annette Fields Berry, died Wednesday afternoon, October 29, 2014, at Riverview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Shivers, Mississippi, he was a son of the late Willie Berry and the late Rosa Smith Berry. Mr. Berry was of the Baptist faith. He retired from UPS in Brooklyn, New York.
Surviving are his wife, Annette Fields Berry; one daughter, Joann L. Berry; four sisters, Dorothy Walker and her husband, Robert, Mather Newsome, Thelma Berry and Zelma Berry; three brothers, James Berry and his wife, Barbara, Frank Berry and his wife, Betty, and Jerry Berry and his wife, Velma; one sister-in-law, Grace Simmons and her husband, Elliott; two brothers-in-law, John Williams and Russell Fields, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Monday morning at the graveside, Magnolia Memorial Gardens, conducted by The Reverend Robert H. Dimmitt.
