Joe David Hendrix, 62, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2019, at Memorial University Medical Center after a brief illness.
David was preceded in death by his father, Lavonia T. Hendrix.
Survivors include his loving mother, Lillian H. Hendrix; brothers, Tommy Hendrix and Jerry Hendrix; nieces, Jennifer Hunt and Patricia Fisher; nephew, Michael Hendrix; and four great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 until 1 o'clock Tuesday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Dr. Samuel W. Watkins. Interment will be in Hillcrest Abbey ' East.
