Jacob Bostick, Jr., 77, of Savannah, Georgia, died Sunday afternoon, March 25, 2018, at his home.
Born in Scotia, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Jacob Bostick, Sr. and the late Nattie Atkins Bostick. Mr. Bostick was a retired maintenance and custodial worker for the New York City Board of Education. He was known as a hard worker who loved his family and for playing practical jokers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Willie Bostick, Jr.; one sister, Mattie Mae Bostick, and two brothers, Hamp Bostick and Roosevelt Bostick.
Survivors include two daughters, Rosita Coleman and her husband, Frank, and Deborah Bostick; three sons, Jacob Bostick III and his wife, Wanda, Willie Bostick and Tommy Lee Bostick; seven grandchildren, Nathaniel Bostick, Tina Hughes and her husband, James, Angelo Hamilton, Latora Johnson and her husband, Jordan, Alfreda Bostick-Carter, Sierra Bostick and Malcolm Bostick; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; two sisters, Lottie Mae Brunson and her husband, Edward, and Eva Fields; one brother, Warren Bostick and his wife, Catherine, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery ' Skidaway Road at 52nd Street.
