Hugh "H.D." David
McDougald Jr.
January 6, 1933 – April 12, 2026
Hugh David McDougald, Jr., 93 of Savannah, passed away peacefully April 12, 2026 at home surrounded by his family.

He began his own golf tournament, The Crackerford Invitational that lasted over 30 years. He was blessed with a large, loving family and friends too many to count.
He was passionate about his Lord, his family, and golf. His grandchildren dubbed him the “Proud Sponsor,.” because he insisted on picking up the check, always. He attended all their games, plays and award ceremonies, celebrating every occasion. One of his highlights was having the opportunity to play the Pro/Am at Augusta National when he was at the top of his golf game. May not be a coincidence, he passed on the final day of the Masters.
