Greig Fine, 76, passed away peacefully at home on April 24th, after a long illness, with the love of his life, his wife Pat of 38 years, by his side, and his faithful companions, Porgy and Otis, never far from him.

Greig was a man who found his joy in the simple, good things: a day out on the water, a fishing line cast just right, and the quiet satisfaction of winning a game at the pool table. He had a deep love for animals, and if you knew him, you knew his heart was never fuller than when he had one of his furry friends close by.

Above all, Greig loved his family. He is survived by his loving family: Miranda Fine and her son, Easton Roberts; Amy, Tim, Finley, and Sawyer Sark; Cody, Jessica, and Wyatt Otero; Carole Paul and Randee Duke; along with many nieces, nephews, and multiple grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Greig will be remembered for his easy smile beneath his favorite hat, his love of the marsh, and his passion for all four-legged furries.

Our family is deeply grateful for the compassion and care shown by the nurses and staff at Hospice of Savannah during his final days.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 1 o'clock until 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Ave., Savannah. Memorial services will follow at 2 o'clock in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Savannah or the Humane Society of Greater Savannah, in honor of Greig’s love for animals.

“Though I know we must be parted, as sure as stars are in the sky. I'm gonna see you when you come to glory, and I'll see you, I'll see you on the other side.”
