Gary Arthur Dolack died on June 14, 2025. He was born on February 3, 1942, in Great Falls, Montana. Gary grew up in Montana and Arizona and attended Humboldt State College in California where he met Elizabeth Beckham who would become his beloved wife.

After his graduation from Humboldt, Gary attended The George Washington University in Washington, DC, where he earned an MBA in healthcare administration that began his career as a hospital administrator. He specialized in rural hospitals, especially those in financial difficulty, eventually retiring in Savannah, Georgia.

Gary was an avid runner and fitness instructor. He enjoyed running many road races, including the Marine Corps marathon. While living in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, he created and organized the White Lake Water Festival Fun Run. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather known as Poppy to his grandchildren. Gary was a man of extraordinary faith and was highly active in the Episcopal Church.

He is preceded by his wife Elizabeth and brother Tony. He is survived by his brother Leo Block, his children Christopher Dolack and Craig Dolack, as well as five grandchildren.

The funeral for Gary will be held on June 25, 2025 at 12:00 PM at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 101 Willow Rd., Savannah, GA 31306. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. George’s Episcopal Church may be made in memory of Gary Dolack.
