Frances Doyle Shuman, 99, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of John Washington Shuman, died Tuesday evening, November 5, 2013, at Tara Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice.
Born on March 13, 1914, in Albany, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late William Doyle and the late Alice Lockett Doyle.?? Mrs. Shuman was a Christian and a homemaker. She loved her family, especially her granddaughter, Sarah, and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary D. Hively, and a son, Jerry W. Shuman.
Survivors include her son, John L. Shuman of Savannah; her grandchildren, including Sarah Shuman Fordham and her husband, Rodrick, of Pooler; her great-grandchildren, and her great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning at the graveside, Hillcrest Abbey ' West, conducted by The Reverend Craig Pope.
