Ellen Jayne Mobley McPeters, 67, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Danny Ray McPeters, died Monday afternoon, July 21, 2025, at Hospice Savannah with her family at her side.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Bennie Clifton Mobley and the late Marion Hilda Inhulsen Mobley. Ellen graduated from Savannah High School. She was a retired hairdresser and later worked for many years as a Patient Care Representative for Drs. Steven Corse and Paul Bradley. Ellen was an avid UGA football fan, who also loved antiquing, casinos, and the Atlanta Braves. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, her friends, and especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 36 years and her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Howell Bridges III.
Survivors include her three sons, Joseph William McPeters and his wife, Gloria, of Taiwan, Danny Ray McPeters II and his wife, Amy, of Griffin, Georgia, and John Steven McPeters and his wife, Elizabeth, of Savannah; one daughter, Oy Daigler and her husband, Adam, of Tyrone, Georgia; her sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Miller and her husband, David, of St. Louis, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Blayne Byrom, Joseph McPeters II, Jacob Bergstrom, Mason McPeters, Madison McPeters, Nolan McPeters, Ellington Recoulle, Bennett McPeters, and Grey Daigler; and the Phosai sisters who were her adopted daughters, Touk Varney, Cooky Zajac, Kelly Ulman and Jiap Odum.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 o’clock Saturday, August 9,, 2025, at Gamble Funeral Service – 410 Stephenson Avenue.
