Elizabeth Michelle Ray

June 27, 1980 — December 17, 2025

Savannah

Elizabeth Michelle Ray passed away peacefully on December 17 th ,2025 at 11:59pm in her home surrounded by family. Her last moments were spent in the loving embrace of her husband and daughter.

Elizabeth was born on June 27 th , 1980, to parents Karl and Alicia Jensen. She married her loving husband Jonathan Ray on November 3 rd , 2001, at the Mackey House in Savannah, Ga. The couple was blessed with 2 beautiful children, Kirsten Elizabeth Ray, born November 13 th , 2004, and Noah Alexander Ray on November 19 th , 2009. September 2006, Elizabeth lost her father to liver cancer. Then shortly thereafter Elizabeth lost her grandparents on her mother’s side and then her aunt’s Linda and Chrissy.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband Jonathan, her 2 children Kirsten and Noah, her mother Alicia, and her sister’s Ashley and Selena. She is also survived by her nephew’s Aiden, Cameron, and Terrance (TJ). Her niece Alayla. Her Aunt’s Elizabeth (Betsy), Kim, and Mora. Her cousin’s Zack, Chani, Ruric, Greg, and Tara. Her Uncle’s Jimmy and Terry. And a host of other family members such as Terrance Sr., Tonette, and many others.

Elizabeth was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Elizabeth had a fierce commitment to her family and those few she called her friends. She had an unwavering spirit for adventure. Her love for travel created a lifetime of memories for her children and her husband. There was always one more destination on the horizon. Elizabeth’s favorite things in life were to spend as much time with her family as she possibly could. Whether it was flying to Las Vegas for Christmas and ending the week at Niagara Falls for New Year’s, traveling to Alaska to chase the Aurora Borealis, or to just sitting on the dock watching the sunset.

There are not enough words that could describe this beautiful soul. There will never be another like Elizabeth. Her laugh could light up a room. Her smile was infectious. You could not help but smile when you were in her presence. She was an amazing person, that left all of us way to soon. Even in her last remaining days, Elizabeth would put on a smile when visitors would stop by. She could still light up the room till the very end. In Elizabeth’s final moments she clearly spoke the word “Daddy”. I can only image that Karl was there guiding her to her new heavenly home.

Elizabeth’s motto in life was always “Life’s a Journey, not a Destination”
