SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Elfriede Elizabeth Wacker Moore, 90, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of SFC Henry Walker Moore, Jr., U. S. Army (Ret.), died Thursday evening, July 19, 2012, at Savannah Square.
Born in Grossalmerode, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Heinrich Valentine Wacker and the late Marie Kunzel Wacker. Mrs. Moore was of the Lutheran faith. She was a retired administrative assistant and last worked for the U. S. Army Night Vision Laboratory at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
Surviving are her son, CW4 Henry W. Moore III, U. S. Army (Ret.) and his wife, Annemarie, of Savannah, Georgia; her daughter, Marianne Doris Scaggs and her husband, Fred, of Woodbridge, Virginia; two grandchildren, Larsen Bryan Moore of Savannah, Georgia and Caroline Faye Morton of Lynchburg, Virginia, and one sister, Marianne Richert of Germany.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, Virginia.
