Edna Christine Lanier Rovolis, 88, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Tony Tash Rovolis, Sr., died Thursday morning, December 13, 2012, at her home and under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Born in Norfolk, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Abb Lanier and the late Edna Riggs Lanier. Christine was a longtime, faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She retired from Belk of Savannah after 23 years of service. Christine enjoyed her family and gardening.
Surviving are two sons, Tony Tash Rovolis, Jr. and his wife, Nancy, and Bobby Tash Rovolis and his wife, Janie; four grandchildren, Jimmy Lynn Rovolis, Timothy Daniel Rovolis, Joshua Lee Rosecrans and Angela Michelle Rovolis Loggins; five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Monday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Dr. Morgan D. Kerr. Interment will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
