SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Dr. Peter Gordon Verity, 56, of Savannah, Georgia, husband of Melanie E. Mirande, died Thursday afternoon, December 31, 2009, at his home.
The memorial service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning at Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends in the social hall after the service at the church.
Remembrances: Professor Peter G. Verity Memorial Fund for Ocean and Environmental Research - c/o Skidaway Marine Science Foundation Verity Fund - 10 Ocean Science Circle, Savannah, Georgia 31411.
