David Alonzo Vaughn, Sr., was born on July 2, 1954 in Baltimore, Maryland, to Evelyn Vaughn and the late Milton Vaughn.
He passed away at age 65 on July 16, 2019 in Savannah.
David attended Armstrong University in Savannah, Georgia. From 1976 to 1979, David served in the United States Army and also worked in the medical industry as a medical assistant. David was married to Rosemary Vaughn.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Micheal L. Vaughn.
David is survived by his sons, David A. Vaughn Jr (Dekeah S. Williams), Chavis A. Vaughn (Kandyce Vaughn), and Christopher Williams, Sr.; daughters, Dayonna Vaughn and Erika Anderson; grandchildren, Alicia M. Vaughn, Mykaliah D. Vaughn, Malachi Moore, Malachi Vaughn, David A. Vaughn, III, Shanae A. Ross, Karin A. Swinton, and Kelvin J. Nwaeze.
David\'s hobbies included doing puzzles, planting gardens, watching westerns, and playing slot machines and scratch-offs.
Friends and family can pay their respects at the funeral service on August 2, 2019 at 12:30 in the afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, conducted by Reverend Dr. Samuel W. Watkins. Interment will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia.
