David Patrick (Pat) Furlong, age 78, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026 in Savannah, Georgia.

David was born on December 19, 1947 in Savannah, GA to Joseph James Furlong and Josephine Gnann Furlong.

He was a graduate of Jenkins High School.

David was honorably discharged from the Army in 1973 where he proudly served his country.

David retired from Electrical Union Local 508 in 2003 after 26 years.

David loved helping his family or friends with any project, whether big or small and loved spending time with family and friends.

He was a devout member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and was faithful in driving one of his sisters anywhere she needed to go at any time and was such a very patient, loving, sweet person. And also a jokester!

He was preceded in death by five brothers: Paul, Lawrence, Tommy, Timmy and Bobby Furlong. He is survived by two sisters, Jane Brewer and Frances Cochran, several sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews all that loved him very much.

Serving as Pall Bearers are: Chris Cochran, Mike Cochran, Stephen Furlong, Wyatt Chase, Kevin Browning, Kevin Browning, Jr. and Matthew Browning.

Visitation will be Monday, April 13th, 2026 at 10:00a.m. at Gamble Funeral Service; 410 Stephenson Ave., Savannah, GA with a funeral service to follow at 11:00a.m.

Interment will follow at the Catholic Cemetery on Wheaton Street in Savannah.
