Danny Ray McPeters, 68, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Ellen Mobley McPeters, died Wednesday morning, March 6, 2013, at Candler Hospital.
Born in Kennett, Missouri, he was a son of Louise Ethel Goodrich McPeters and the late James Nelton McPeters. Danny was of the Baptist faith and was a United States Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was a retired pipefitter and welder from Kemira and UA Local 188. Danny loved golf. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Harold 'Jim' McPeters.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Ellen Mobley McPeters of Savannah; three sons, Joseph William McPeters of South Korea, Danny Ray McPeters II and his wife, Oy, of Fayetteville, Georgia, and John Steven McPeters and his wife, Rachel, of Savannah; his mother, Louise Ethel Goodrich McPeters of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Barbara Ann Miller and her husband, David, of St. Louis, Missouri; his sister-in-law, Patti McPeters of Festus, Missouri, and five grandchildren, Blayne Byrom, Jacob Bergstrom, Mason McPeters, Madison McPeters and Nolan McPeters.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Monday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue. Interment will be private.
