Dale Howard Nichols

SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Dale Howard Nichols, 65, of Savannah, Georgia, husband of Carol Ann Dunning Nichols, died Monday morning, June 21, 2010, at Riverview Health and Rehabilitation Center under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Born in Statesboro, Georgia, he was a son of the late Gerald Howard Nichols and Laverne DeLoach Nichols.  Mr. Nichols was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church and was a United States Army veteran having served during the Cuban crisis. Dale was the owner and operator of Nichols HVAC Services.
Surviving are his wife of thirty years, Carol Ann Dunning Nichols of Savannah, Georgia; three daughters, Angela Jones of Jackson, Mississippi, Melissa Lawson of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and Brenda Shaner of Savannah, Georgia; one son, Steve Nichols of Cleveland, Ohio, and eight grandchildren; two sister in-law's, Pam Nichols of Ridgeland, South Carolina, Sharon Nichols of Ellabell, Georgia; four nieces, Lori Beasley of Ellabell, Georgia, Jenny Nichols, Melissa Nichols and Jackie Nichols all of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; two nephews, Toni Nichols of Savannah, Georgia and Jimmy Nichols of Ellabell, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning in St. George's Episcopal Church conducted by The Reverend James N. Parker. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends at the church after the service.
