Chris Salien Rogmans, 65, died at her home on August 9, hand in hand with her husband, Wim.
Born in Antwerp, Belgium on January 4, 1951, she was the daughter of the late George Rogmans and the late Jenny Jacobs. Chris loved her Belgian heritage. She was a member of the Cathedral of St John the Baptist, where she was active in the CCW.
She graduated as a Kindergarten teacher and loved working with children. She was adventurous and moved to Toronto, Canada, where she met her husband Wim (also Belgian). Together, they went back to Belgium, raised 2 children, and moved with the family to the UK, Switzerland, US, Slovakia, and eventually back to the US.
Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Wim Salien; daughter, Sofie Salien Morrissey; son, Ben Salien, and grandchildren, Isabella and Lucia Morrissey.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist conducted by The Reverend J. Gerard Schreck. Interment will be in the Catholic Cemetery.
