Bruce Alan Fulford, 51, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Laura Foote Fulford, died Saturday afternoon, February 23, 2013, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of Johnnie Andrews Fulford and the late James Fulford. Bruce was a member of Savannah Christian Church and was a United States Air Force veteran. He was with the Vaden Automotive Group for 17 years having retired last year as General Manager.
Bruce's life was rich in relationships. In his last week at Hospice he was visited by scores of people who came to express love and thanks for the investment he made in their lives. His love for people, his character, his strong work ethic and his generosity was celebrated each day as his family looked on. His strong faith carried him through the difficult and debilitating battle with Lou Gehrig's disease. He passed peacefully in the arms of his family.
Surviving are his wife, Laura Foote Fulford of Savannah, Georgia; one daughter, Amber Fulford of Savannah, Georgia; one son, Jason Fulford of Savannah, Georgia; his mother, Johnnie Andrews Fulford of Twin City, Georgia; one sister, Cathy Beasley and her husband, James, of Twin City, Georgia; one brother, Mike Fulford and his wife, Debbie, of Augusta, Georgia; two nieces, Jade Turner and her husband, Jeremy, and Cara Coxwell, and one nephew, Chance Fulford.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Tuesday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning at Savannah Christian Church, Henderson Campus, conducted by Pastor Kenny Grant. Interment will be at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in Whetsell Cemetery in Twin City, Georgia.
