Betty Lynn Marks

Betty Levine Marks, devoted mother and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025. She was the proud mother of Daniel (Mindy) Marks, and Jesse (Carie) Marks and their son. She is also survived by her brother Mark (Kelly) Levy, and their two children.

A long time Aventura resident Betty was a lifelong educator at Highland Oaks Middle School. Betty dedicated her life to nurturing her students and building strong relationships with her colleagues. She would often run into former students around town and fall into happy conversation enquiring about all life updates. Her passion for teaching and commitment to the community left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Betty also had a deep love for theater and the performing arts, she continued to nurture these passions in her retired life. Additionally, Betty embraced a love of history and culture taking many trips to explore Europe. Her passion for the arts is a happy memory to all who knew her.

She will be laid to rest in her childhood home of Savannah, Georgia at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, Thursday, December 4, 2025 in Bonaventure Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held in Aventura at a later date to honor her memory and the love she shared with all who knew her.
