Betty H. Crosby

Betty Jean Hall Crosby, 101, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026. She was born in Augusta Georgia on July 28, 1924 to John Ellis Hall, Sr. and Katherine Johnson Hall and moved to Savannah at age 13 with her family. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Temple and a charter member of Skidaway Island Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Walter Crosby Sr, her son George Walter Crosby Jr , brother John Ellis (J.E.) Hall, Jr and sister Anita Hall Gunter.

She is survived by her son, Barry Knox Crosby and her sisters Eleanor Loewen and Fay Zipperer , along with several nieces and nephews.

She adored her family, her church, her beloved Savannah and Tybee Island. She was a past volunteer for the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum and a proud supporter of Wounded Warriors .

Memorial service will be held on Monday, March 9 at 3:00 pm at Gamble Funeral Service.
