SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Bernice Inez Bernback Prieur, 93, of Savannah, Georgia, wife of 54 years of Robert Eugene Prieur, died Monday morning, February 20, 2012, at Spanish Oaks Retreat.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Bernback and the late Alma Love Bernback. Mrs. Prieur was educated in Chicago schools and graduated from DePaul University in 1943 with Baccalaureate - Bachelor Degree of Arts. She taught school in Japan and in France (dependent children) where she met her future husband, Robert Eugene Prieur. They were married in France. Mrs. Prieur was a teacher in Chicago for years and worked as a hearing assistant for Judge Francis J. O'Byrne. She and her husband retired in Savannah in 1980.
A private service will be held at a later date.
