In Loving Memory of Beretha Anderson

May 30th , 1924- November 26th , 2025

Beretha Anderson, a beloved mother, wife, great-great grandmother, and cherished member of her community in historic Carver Village, peacefully passed away on November 26th , 2025. She was born on May 30th ,1924, in Statesboro, Georgia, to her loving parents, Osie and Willie.

Beretha was a faithful Christian woman and a devoted homemaker throughout her life, known for her nurturing spirit, gentle wisdom, and the loving care she extended to everyone around her. Her home was always a place for warmth, comfort, and celebrations. She lived her life grounded in faith, kindness, and compassion, caring deeply for family, neighbors, and anyone in need.

She was married to Julee Anderson, a proud World War ll veteran. Their marriage was built on love, resilience, and unwavering commitment. Julee preceded her in death on June 12th , 1974. Together they welcomed a son, Rufus Bangs. (preceded her in death 2007).

Beretha was a proud and loving grandmother to Beretha Branch, Sonja Manior, Rufus Anderson (preceded her in death in 2017), Kathi Black, Chea Spencer, Shyrel Conner. She was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren and over 20 great-great grandchildren. She is also a host of nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her beloved siblings, whom she now joins in eternal rest.

Beretha’s life was a beautiful example of Chrisitan faith, strength, compassion and unconditional love. Her legacy will live through the many generations she helped shape and the countless lives she touched.

A celebration of her life will be held at Gamble Funeral Service in Savannah, Georgia. Family and friends are invited to gather in loving remembrance and to honor a woman whose life was truly a blessing.
