Benjamin "Ben" Franklin Alexander

March 25, 1945 — December 19, 2022

Benjamin “Ben” Franklin Alexander, 80, of Savannah Georgia and widower of Patricia “Patty” Rosalee Redmond Alexander passed away December 19, 2022 at his home.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late Beverly Alexander and the late Myrtie Elizabeth Burroughs Alexander. Ben retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital where he worked in Environmental Services as a HVAC mechanic. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, particularly white tail deer, and fishing the rivers and waterways of Savannah, even working as a crabber. A Christian, he loved God, and was a loving husband and father of four children. Ben will be deeply missed.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Buddy Alexander.

Survivors include his children, Wendy Alexander DuBose and her husband, Keith DuBose, of Ridgeland, South Carolina, Lori Farrell of Alpharetta, Georgia, Heidi Flanders and her husband Robert Flanders of Savannah, Georgia, Benjamin Evans “Van” Alexander and his wife, Caitlin, of Ft. Myers, Florida; grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Madison DuBose, Keith DuBose III, Morgan Farrell, Lauren Farrell, Carson Farrell, Amanda Edwards, Ben Edwards, Ashton Alexander, Ethan Alexander.

The funeral service will be held at 10 o’clock Thursday morning, December 22, 2022, at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by the Reverend Barry Giddens.
