Atnes Kenneth 'Sonny' Edenfield, 76, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Jill Phillips Edenfield, died Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Bickley, Georgia, he was a son of the late Atnes T. Edenfield and the late Etheridge A. Carter Edenfield. Mr. Edenfield was of the Baptist faith. He was a United States Army veteran. Mr. Edenfield retired after 42 years as manager of Carlstedt Wholesale Florist.
Surviving are his wife, Jill Phillips Edenfield of Savannah, Georgia; one daughter, Mildred Kesler and her husband, Danny Mosley, of Waycross, Georgia; three sons, Stuewart Edenfield of Savannah, Georgia, Scott Edenfield of Florida, and Leon Edenfield and his wife, Nikki, of Ludowici, Georgia; one step-son, Armando Rodriguez of Savannah, Georgia; two sisters, Betty Bennett and Verna Dean Bennett; one brother, Johnny Edenfield and his wife, Betty; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o'clock Wednesday morning at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Ashley R. Corbett. Interment will be at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in Oak Grove Cemetery near Nicholls, Georgia.
