Allene Williamson Rowland, 102, widow of Harvey Newton Rowland , died Thursday morning, December 19, 2013, at Riverview Health & Rehabilitation Center in Savannah.
Born in Normantown, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Algerine Williamson and the late Nadine Williamson Williamson. Mrs. Rowland was a member of Southside Baptist Church and retired from Belk.
Surviving are two daughters, Glenda Johnson of Savannah and Gayle Bowen and her husband, Richard, of Beaufort, South Carolina; one granddaughter, Jenifer Paul and her husband, Chad, of Pooler, Georgia; one grandson, Kevin Johnson and his wife, Kylie, of Geelong, Australia, and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the graveside, Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, conducted by The Reverend Thomas E. Keller.
Remembrances: A charity of the donor's choice.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staffs of Riverview Health & Rehabilitation Center and Gentiva Hospice for the excellent care Mrs. Rowland received during the last 3?? years.
