Allen Matthew Young

Allen Matthew Young, born to Wright and Rosa Lee Young on April 16, 1955, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in Pembroke, GA on October 16, 2025at the age of 70.

Allen received his early education in the Philadelphia Archdiocese Catholic School system, graduating from Roman Catholic High School in 1972. He went on to attend Virginia State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in 1977 and became a proud member of the Wine Psi Psi fraternity. He earned his MBA from LaSalle University, in 1991.

Allen spent two decades working with Prudential. Later, he pursued a long-held passion—truck driving—a role he truly enjoyed and found freedom in, continuing in that profession until a few years before his passing.

Allen was a man of quiet strength and deep faith, and he accepted Islam in 2020.Allen leaves behind four children: Allen J. Young, Kenyon Young, Raushanah Young, and Quinton Young. He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren: Tayannah, Zanir, Naiesha, Najah, Zaniyah, Naim, Zhanae, Rashad, Zamirah, Malia, Zion, Zuri Amarie, and Elliot

.Allen is also survived by his sister, Ethel McGowans and brother, Albert Young. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister Emma Fripp. He also leaves behind a host of friends and family who cherished his presence and loyalty.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever honored by those who knew him.
