It was with sadness I read of Joyce’s death. I worked with her at American National in the late 70s and early 80s. I remember her speaking of Glenda often and, I think, of Glenda’s son calling Robert “Robin,” one to whom she was so devoted. I remember her riding horses after work, stopping to eat at the Mount Vernon restaurant on the way home, and mostly her dogs. I had the great honor of having one named for me, Vallerie. She brought pictures to show me that her Vallerie would smile. A wonderful person.

    Ms. Vallerie Greer-
That was a wonderful memory that you shared of my Aunt Joyce. I remember the smiling dog Valerie and I am tickled that we now know how the dog got her name. Joyce was a wonderful human being who always brought us great joy. She is now with her beloved Robert once again, and I know that she is smiling for sure.
